Gracious God, bless us as we journey with Jesus through these solemn forty days of Lent. Bring us faith, peace, forgiveness, protection, wisdom, and strength for the days ahead. Thank you for leading us to the cross of Christ and then through the cross to new life. Lord in your mercy.
God of Creation, help us to tend to the earth. Bless beach and ocean cleanup efforts, grow awareness to better steward our natural resources, and lead us by your Spirit to healthier ways of living. Lord in your mercy.
God of the Nations, preserve us from times of trouble. Surround us with your steadfast love and give resilience to all who work for peace. Grant courage to those who face challenging issues and dilemmas,. Bless those who fight against hate, racism, and systemic oppression. . Lord in your mercy.
God of Healing, we pray for the vulnerable, children, seniors, and any who are sick especially, Gina Wiklund, Dennis Doty, Anita Baraw, Vinny Somo, Lillian Rivolté, Cathy Staples, Alex DeJesus, Kathi Bishop-Mora, Eddie Martin, Marcie Baldwin, Glen Kroetz, Peter and Joanne Knebel, Jenny Walker, Ruby and David Alden, Debbie and Charley Kurinsky-Rose, Lisa Poljacik, Stephanie Eichhorn, Rose and Marc, Marlene Forde, Leslie Wisdom, Gloria Redman, Jeannie and family, and for anyone we name silently or aloud….Pause. Grant them healing and wholeness. Lord in your mercy.
Merciful God, For any among us who hunger for bread, bring nourishment. For any among us who hunger for truth, speak your life-giving word. Lord in your mercy.
We commend all for whom we pray to God’s loving-kindness made known to us in Christ Jesus our Savior and Lord. Amen.
